While Faggatronix DJ in Brighton as I type (big up the hard-workers) I just want to say, if you didn't know, that this Friday (20 Oct) presents a double bill of:
Skepta's Album Launch, courtesy of Dirty Canvas, at Cargo. Hopefully a few guests, as well as Prancehall and Coki on decks. Flyer here.
Also, simultaneously, just down the road Riko is going to be at Heatwave doing a grime/bashment set, which is clearly, just obviously going to be big. He should be on around midnight. You can catch both apparently cause BBK aren't on til 1am. Darting through the streets of Shoreditch is going to be necessary. Flyer here.
EDIT: SLIMZEE AT FWD TONIGHT>>>>> Playing a Sidewinder set. Frantic business. Why does everything always happen at once?!
While we're on the subject of Heatwave, their website's had a revamp, including a new blog. This is also a timely reminder that they have some mind-blowing live sets, PAs and mixes on there... reggaeton, grime, dancehall, soca.. hours of fun.
