Pan-generational dreadlocked legends to collaborate. Possibly.

For a while rumours have circulated that Jammer - who is currently considering an album deal with Big Dada, as Prancehall reported - was in some way related to the legendary poet Benjamin Zephaniah. I finally got the truth when I interviewed Jammer in the back of a car in Leytonstone recently. Here's an excerpt from the interview:

Are you Benjamin Zephaniah's nephew?

No, but he's a good family friend, almost like a Godfather to me still. I've known him since I was little. He's doing his thing man, he's made his mark. He's proper. I want to try and do a tune with him still: that would be interesting, something with a poetic chorus. A couple of girls I know were asking me about him recently, they were really excited, they love him. Cos he's a ladies man innit (laughs). It runs in the family dawgie!
