Starkey's album on its way

We don't do the mp3 hypeblogging thing much, but when it's one of the fam you know we've got to rep.

We have been excited about Starkey for a long time. Ever since I started playing his crazy Philly-via-London crunk and rnb refixes on Sub FM back in 2005, Starkey has been a vital part of the Lower End Spasm sound.
Now in 2008 the world gets its cummupence as Starkey prepares to drop his debut LP on Planet Mu.

Ephemeral Exhibits is due out on Planet Mu next Monday, November 24th. It will be available on cd, triple pack vinyl and digital download.

Here's me in Fact Magazine, trying to explain what's so unique about Starbot:

Recently the grimier work of Starkey and Moves!' four-to-the-floor bangers have began to converge, producing one of the most distinctive styles in underground club music...
Whereas so many producers' default mode is darkness and gloom, Starkey's music is saturated with colour, and through melody he harnesses a powerful, alien rave energy"

Here's a tune from the album to get you excited:

I've been a fan since you were doing Mathhead breakcore splits. Will look forward to hearing something lengthy.
